Corporate Overview

Contact Uranium Ltd is an Australian-based uranium company with an immediate focus to expand its resources, then progress its projects to production.

Contact Uranium (formerly Contact Resources) listed on the Australian Stock Exchange in September 2005, and is acquiring a portfolio of exceptional uranium projects in Peru and Kyrgyzstan, with further exploration areas in Western Australia.

The company currently holds a total JORC resource of almost 11m pounds of uranium across its two key uranium projects in Peru and Kyrgyzstan:

  • The advanced Corachapi Uranium deposit has a JORC compliant Inferred Resource of 9.2 million lbs of U3O8. The Corachapi Uranium deposit is shallow and displays high grades of up to 0.33% U3O8 with more typical grades around 0.115%. The company believes there is significant expansion potential.

  • The highly prospective Kamushanovskoe uranium project in Kyrgyzstan has an initial JORC resource of 1.71 million pounds of Inferred and Indicated uranium contained in surfuce peat deposits. Grades reach 0.227% and average 0.048% uranium. The project is a short distance from the Kara Balta uranium processing facility. Again, the company believes there is significant expansion potential.

Contact has a 100% interest in three further prospective Kyrgyzstan uranium licences, Boom Canyon, Shyrgyi, and Jetym, bringing the company’s total land position to 2457km2.
